Fenno Iryna, Ph.D. in Religious Studies. Born in Ternopyl, Ukraine. During 2002–2007 she received B.A. and M.A. in Religious Studies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Since 2009 she has been working at the Department of Religious Studies (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv). Since 2016 she has been working part-time as project and program manager at Kyiv Center of the Ukrainian Catholic University. In 2011 she defended her Ph.D. thesis in religious studies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv.
Her international fellowship was devoted to Modernism in Catholic Church, its philosophical, theological and historical aspects, at the Faculty of Catholic Theology Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz, Germany (August 2015 – January 2016, The Catholic Academic Exchange Service).
Since 2009 she has been a member of the Workshop for the Academic Study of Religions (formerly – Youth Association for the Study of Religions). She was a President (2011–2013) and Vice-President (2013–2015). Since 2015 she has been a member of the International Association of Humanities, since 2018 she is IAH administrator.
Since 2017 she has been the member of the jury of the Theology, Religious Studies and Religious History section of the Minor Academy of Sciences.
Research interests: history of the Catholic Church, religion and ecology, freedom of conscience.
